Chairman and Medical Director of Assia Medical. Senior surgeon and prominent expert in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic surgery). Founder of the Endoscopic Surgery Division at Ichilov hospital and founder of the Israeli Society for Endoscopic Surgery.
Specialized in laparoscopic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, in the early 90's. Returned to Israel as one of the few surgeons who specialized in laparoscopic surgery. He lectured hundreds of times at medical conferences around the world, including in the US, Europe, China, and India, and is often invited to guide surgical workshops and perform live surgeries all over the world. His special interests currently are upper GI surgery, abdominal wall and general surgery.
