The removal of skin lesions is a simple clinic procedure, usually lasting about 15-30 minutes, recovery from it is quick and recovery is short. The lesions that are removed can be benign or malignant, and the excision can be for medical or aesthetic reasons.
MEDICAL REASONS CAN BE EXCISION OF LESIONS SUSPECTED OF MELANOMA, MELANOMA EXPANSION, BASAL CELL CANCER (BCC), OR SQUAMOUS CELL CANCER (SCC), CYSTS THAT ARE INFECTED OR THAT HAVE BEEN INFECTED IN THE PAST AND CAUSE SUFFERING AND DISCOMFORT, BENIGN LESIONS LOCATED IN AREAS WITH FRICTION AND RECURRENT INJURIES (FOR EXAMPLE SHAVING OR RUBBING WITH A BRA OR CHAIN), HIDRADENITIS AND MORE, OR FOR COSMETIC REASONS: MOLES OR SKIN LESIONS THAT INTERFERE AESTHETICALLY, SKIN TAGS, CYSTS, LIPOMAS, ETC.
After the skin lesion is removed, it is possible to return to routine activities, while adhering to the following recommendations:

The lesions that are removed are sent for pathological examination – an answer is usually received after 3-4 weeks – depending on the duration of work of the pathological laboratories to which the sample is sent.
It is important to note that after the skin lesion is removed, a scar will remain, the size of the scar depends on the size of the removed lesion and its location, the rate of complications after this surgery is very low (there may be bleeding, infection, separation of the incision margins, etc.) A detailed explanation will be given at the time of the consultation.
