Dr. Oz Yakir, a graduate of the Faculty of Medical Studies at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, completed a specialization in surgery at The Tel Aviv Medical Center and Tel Hashomer. Student of the greatest surgeons in Israel, among Prof. Avraham Czerniak, the father of liver and pancreatic surgery in Israel. Dr. Yakir continued his training in liver, pancreatic, and organ transplant surgeries in Montreal (McGill University) and Pittsburgh (UPMC), the leading centers in North America in these fields, where he gained extensive experience in the most complex surgeries. On his return to Israel, he began to lead the field at Soroka Hospital and is now a senior physician at Ichilov.
